Font – Gamanwald
is a TrueType font in a style alluding to rock carvings or similar engravings in bone or other hard materials.
The font includes 195 glyphs in one single style, with careful attention to legibility while also aiming to transport the reader to a context far beyond the surface of the monitor – whether far, far away och a long, long time ago.
On the technical side, the font is of OpenType layout with TrueType outlines, and includes most glyphs in the Windows Latin encoding table Windows-1252 ("ANSI"). The font has been successfully tested on both Windows and macOS systems.
Suitable for artistic purposes in historical contexts, when the readability of the Latin alphabet is more important than the historicity of the Futhark and the like. may preferably be used in all capital letters for a more archaic look, but includes smaller cases for the scenarios where those nuances are desired. The authors have developed the font within the scope of a still ongoing design project, maintaining all reserved rights of the font, thus allowing for publishing the font for sale.
For commercial and non-commercial publications, the Full licence is required. However, anyone pondering upon this is free to use the font with the Preview licence, allowing for private testing.
